West Mountain Ski Area, located at exit 18 of the northway (I-87) has operated as a local, family attraction for over 50 years.
Over the past several years, new ownership/management initiated a complete upgrade to the ski areas infrastructure including new lifts, trails, snow making, night lighting, grooming equipment and lodge.
The ski area is now poised to become a destination resort. Studio A was retained to develop a Master Plan for the base area of North West Mountain. Planning includes a retail/hospitality village at the base of a new ski lift, condominium housing, townhouses, single family lots, new lodge with outdoor amenities (fire pit, hot tubs, lounging area), and a boutique hotel with wedding venue and exercise/spa facilities.
The project is in the permit approval phase.
