Depe Dene Resort is located on the west side of Lake George and is a seasonal tourist vacation facility that includes cabins and motel rooms for short-term rentals, swimming pool, beach, boat docks and a boat house with sun deck and lakeside amenities.
Studio A was retained to develop a plan to modernize the lake front amenities, add passive recreational facilities to the shore front and improve handicap accessibility to the waterfront and internal connectivity between the various cabins. The proposed plan includes demolition of over 300 linear feet of sea walls and replacement with new, natural stone faced sea walls at the beach that also include ADA access points to the beach, paved promenades to view the lake, site furniture, fire pits and reconstructed permeable walkways. Upgraded landscaping and “Dark Sky” pedestrian lighting is also included.
In addition, a lake side food/beverage service cabana and new swimming pool overlooking the lake are included in the plan.
